The RETOUCH NEXUS project is proud to attend this year #EGU24 General Assembly organised by the European Geosciences Union (EGU) at the Austria Center Vienna – Internationales Kongresszentrum from April 14 to 19 !

Come meet us at session HS5.1.1 on Mon, 15 Apr, from 2 to 5pm (CEST) in Room 3.16/17 to discuss water resources policy and management – System solutions for uncertain futures with our project partner, UPV (Universitat Politècnica de València), represented by Manuel Pulido-Velazquez! The session will feature state-of-the-art contributions to water and multisector resource system management solutions under uncertainty.

Session HS5.1.1 presentation
While water plays a critical role in sustaining human health, food security, energy production and ecosystem services, factors such as population growth, climate and land use change increasingly threaten water quality and quantity. The complexity of water resources systems requires methods integrating technical, economic, environmental, legal, and social issues within frameworks that help design and test efficient and sustainable water management strategies to meet the water challenges of the 21st century. System analyses adopt practical, problem-oriented approaches for addressing the most challenging water issues of our times. These include competing objectives for water, multi-stakeholder planning and negotiation processes, multi-sector linkages, and dynamic adaptation under uncertainty.
