Since its inception in 2015, the DNC<\/strong> has provided a key platform for advancing nexus thinking<\/strong>, facilitating dialogue, research, and capacity building for the sustainable and integrated management of environmental resources<\/strong>. <\/p>\n [\/et_pb_text][et_pb_text _builder_version=”4.27.4″ _module_preset=”default” custom_margin=”3px|||||” global_colors_info=”{}”]<\/p>\n The 2025 edition<\/strong> marks a significant milestone\u2014celebrating the conference\u2019s 10th anniversary<\/strong> while coinciding with the 50th anniversary of the United Nations University<\/strong>. This edition will delve into the intersections of science, policy, implementation, and real-world applications<\/strong> of nexus approaches.<\/p>\n [\/et_pb_text][\/et_pb_column][et_pb_column type=”1_2″ _builder_version=”4.25.0″ _module_preset=”default” global_colors_info=”{}”][et_pb_text _builder_version=”4.27.4″ _module_preset=”default” custom_margin=”3px|||||” global_colors_info=”{}”]<\/p>\n The conference will reflect on key developments, achievements, and best practices in environmental Nexus approaches<\/strong>, particularly since their rise to prominence through events like the 2011 Bonn Water-Energy-Food Security Nexus conference<\/strong> and the DNC conference series<\/strong>. Taking a global, interdisciplinary, and transdisciplinary perspective<\/strong>, it will explore how Nexus approaches have contributed to sustainability progress<\/strong>, while also addressing the challenges hindering their implementation<\/strong> in both research and practice\u2014alongside strategies to overcome these barriers.<\/p>\n Looking ahead, the conference will foster dialogue between scientists, policymakers, practitioners, and the next generation<\/strong>, focusing on advancing environmental Nexus approaches<\/strong> both conceptually and in practice.
