We are thrilled to announce the successful conclusion of the 4th Stakeholder Engagement Meeting for the RETOUCH NEXUS project!
Over the past two days, stakeholders from diverse industries convened to collaboratively address one of the most pressing challenges of our time: the Water-Energy-Food-Ecosystems (WEFE) nexus. This gathering not only showcased the collective commitment to sustainability but also underscored the importance of interdisciplinary collaboration in tackling climate change.
The meeting featured a dynamic leadership training session led by the esteemed EMCS (Energy Management Consultancy Services), equipping participants with the tools necessary to foster effective change within their organizations.
Attendees were inspired by presentations from various entities, each highlighting their ongoing campaigns aimed at combatting climate change, reducing water and energy consumption, and improving waste management practices. This exchange of ideas is crucial as we strive for innovative solutions that can be implemented across sectors.
This latest meeting builds on the momentum generated during our third Stakeholder Engagement Workshop held on July 12, 2024, led by our Maltese case-study leader, The Energy and Water Agency.
During that workshop, we introduced an online engagement tool designed to create a digital environment for stakeholder interaction and collaboration. The tool, which is currently in beta development, promises to enhance communication and engagement among stakeholders, fostering a more interconnected approach to addressing the WEFE nexus.
