Our partnership with GTI represents a natural alignment of missions, as both organizations recognize the critical importance of holistic resource management for sustainable development.\u00a0<\/p>\n The project will design and advance integrated, innovative and inclusive smart water governance schemes and institutional settings aiming at a secure water future in the EU that is resilient to climate change.\u00a0<\/p>\n [\/et_pb_text][et_pb_text _builder_version=”4.27.4″ _module_preset=”default” global_colors_info=”{}”]<\/p>\n RETOUCH NEXUS will be the key partner for <\/span>Session 4: “The transformative potential of the WEFE nexus \u2013 Governance for a circular island economy.”<\/span><\/b> This pivotal session will explore how the Water-Energy-Food-Ecosystem nexus can enable small islands to become circularity hubs.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n The session will highlight how integrated resource management approaches through nexus-oriented governance can deliver:<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n Through real-world case studies, shared experiences, and innovative technologies, participants will discover practical pathways to implementing circular economy principles on islands.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n [\/et_pb_text][\/et_pb_column][et_pb_column type=”1_2″ _builder_version=”4.25.0″ _module_preset=”default” global_colors_info=”{}”][et_pb_text _builder_version=”4.27.4″ _module_preset=”default” custom_margin=”3px|||||” global_colors_info=”{}”]<\/p>\n Islands face unique sustainability challenges due to their geographic isolation, limited resources, and vulnerability to climate change.
